Hi
Just thought I'd say hello as a new member from West Kilbride, Ayrshire.
I suggested to my wife that perhaps I should (er we should) change our second car.
I dont know how I got away with it as I managed to convince my wife to trade in her year old Fiat Punto for a nice shiney red 2002 1.6 roadster.
I did try to justify the change with some technical jargon i.e. the 110 bhp on a lighter body with less wind resistance would be far more economical, and that the low profile tyres with stiffer suspension would create less 'G' force thus making it far safer on corners.
Anyway after I picked myself up after she said YES, there was one provision, 'it has to be an automatic', I'm not an unreasonable man I can live with that.
We picked the car up at the weekend from an importer in Durham, the guy described the car as immaculate and under the 'trades description act', I dont actually think he was wrong.
We absolutely love the car and YES, it is chamoised down faithfully each night before we go to bed (the car that is).
I spoke to fellow club member 'Phil' on the phone the other night and my 'better half' and I look forward to meeting other members at events in the future.
