Newbie here... got my first MX-5 on Thursday and already done 200 miles on it over the weekend! Am addicted... what a brilliant little car it is!

If you see an 'N' reg black Mk1 scooting about west of Glasgow and down towards Greenock, gimme a wave! :D

Hello from Helensburgh Red Section.

No petrol in the MX5 this morning so I got to drive it!
Didn't clock you on the way into Greenock but I'll look out for you on the way home.
Red Mk 2.5 with 17" drug dealer wheels.

:D I could get comfy here... seems like a good bunch of folks round here! Thanks for the welcome!

I'm in Clydebank (for my sins) and work is just past Greenock, on the way to Inverkip (big place... if you're local you'll know where I'm on about!)... so that's a 42 mile round trip commute for me! At least now its 42 miles of grinning from ear to ear

There's a couple of other Bankies on here Lola.

I'm originally from the high flats at the top of Kilbowie Road and my better half is from Hardgate.

We left when we got married and live in Troon now.

Petrov, I'm just up the road from you... begins in 'F'... ends in 'aifley'... lucky me  I'll look out for you!

Kev777... there's a better route between Clydebank and *cough* IBM *cough*... over the now toll-free Erskine Bridge, turn off and head for Bishopton. Nice wee B road (B815 I think) past the old Compaq site in Erskine, through Bishopton and brings you out at the West Ferry roundabout just before Langbank. Back onto the A8 there and scoot down the road to Port Glasgow/Greenock and beyond! Much more interesting than the tail end of the M8... plus all the fields and trees and nice stuff looks fab whizzing past the open top!
