Culzean Autoclassica Saturday 22nd September 2007

Postby DouglasH » Wed Sep 05, 2007 2:03 am

The Launch of what hopefully will become the no 1 Classic and Sports Car Show in Scotland, will take place at Culzean Castle on Saturday 22nd September 2007 and we will be there. I understand it will be a busy weekend with our own Gathering Event on the Sunday and rightly this takes preference over everything else, with that in mind I don't expect loads of cars to be there but if you were interested and would like to attend please leave word or mail me. So far I have four members who have expressed an interest to attend. Entry is by windscreen sticker and costs £2.00 (yes that's right) I will be submitting our intended number of participants by the end of the week.
To get into the spirit of the event all the clubs are being asked to dress in period attire, or if the club is from a more modern era, as is the case with us, the fifties have been suggested. Its not compulsory to do this but if you had a pair of white, cream or beige chinos and white shirt... etc, I'm sure we wouldn't look out of place, can keep the Avengers theme for our display until next year, when we will have more time to buy all the bowler hats off e-bay  .

Sorry Douglas.

Too many meets in too short a time, but I'll still be there for the gathering.

Sorry - would love to be there, but just too much on that weekend. Will be at the Gathering, though and at Culzean next year. Who's going to bring the Bentley, then?

Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice.
Middle age sinking in master i think. Unable to fight the sith no longer i feel because of fear?. Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.

:?

Launch of Autoclassica is confirmed as Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September - that's this Saturday and Sunday coming.

Douglas is organising this, mainly I think for the Saturday because a lot of members are going up to the gathering, but I'm planning to be there Sunday too, complete with club banners etc - anyone else coming?

Have a look at - http://www.culzeanautoclassica.com/18.html - it's set up like Callander with Saturday as a club/run day and Sunday as a show day, although obviously as this is only the launch of the show it might be a bit smaller than usual.

Anyway, any names? Shall we meet somewhere on the way down, say Monkton Services at bottom of A77? Looks like we've to be in for 10-11am on Saturday and 9-10am on Sunday so what about -

Saturday at Services 9.15am for 9.30 departure at the latest
and
Sunday at Services 8.15am for 8.30 departure

Does that sound OK Douglas, or do you have other plans?

Anyway the list starts here -

Sunday
