yeah the first second i bought the car the roof was down!

dont think its been up yet!

know what u mean about the less than 40 mph, should have seen me in the rain the other day, a constant 15-20mph meaning to fast to pop the roof up....to slow not to get wet!! and i was in the outside lane!

think those in their hardtops got their revenge that day.....

I uncrewed hood handle, fitted a fabrick strap with a tie strap fitted to THAT.
It is out of sight when the hood is down but one pull, and up and over she comes.
Takes me less than 1 second.
No effort.
Works well, and can do this at any set of traffic lights or roadside stop.
Tucks away when in the UP position too.
Now all I have to do is get an automatic self closing ZIP on the rear window and I am happy ! LOL

Yeah Mack, I've seen it and it looks like it would work well.

You at home this afternoon? Off to a funeral in Perth sadly. I may pop in by and say hello on the way north if you're in.
Sunny forecast for PM.

Great wheels mike9, watch out you might be catching the bug!!!! Bet you don't stop here. I thought you were not going to compromise and be true to the original look. Ha Ha!! Look forward to see them properly on Sunday.

Aye aye. Yes well erm.........

The intention was to put the BBS on while I refurbished the original maglites. I cleaned up the first BBS and realised how nice it looked, so it took a while but managed to clean up the others too. I think they suit the age of the car, giving it an old fashioned wire wheel styley.

As a bonus, the originals were real easy to rub down and refurbish without tyres on. They now look pretty good after 5 or 6 coats of aluminim and a few coates of protective laquer.

I got the bug as soon as I got the car really, as for tinkering, I think appearance will remain as is with any future changes only to mechanicals and then mainly up keep and servicing.

I am trying hard to resist the urge to put chrome vent rings in, a new wheel would be cool, alloy pedals, driving lamps, new stereo, gaitors,...............AAAARRGGGGHHHH...

Somebody stop me...........!!!!!!!

Oh,. Hallo darling, no, I'm not spending any more money............honest.

Mike, there is no such thing as a strong woman...only a weak man.

If "er indoors" asks what anything costs ??

A few suggestions below;

1) Just fetch her one and tell her to mind her own business !
2) Lie to your back teeth and tell her "it was a gift" !
3) Tell her ?5.
4) Tell her your amnesia has kicked in again.
5) Confess all, and tell her if she don't like it, to pack her bags and you will drop her off at the bus stop.

Hi Paul
I would not try to follow my advice if I was you.

I have....and this could be why I have seen off two wifes and have to find a new G/F every 12 months when they realise what a bad bugger I am ! ha haaaaaaaa

I do honestly believe that there is no such thing as a strong woman, only weak men.
This was how I was brought (Dragged) up.
It has sort of stuck, if you know what I mean.

Heck, if Mike tried THAT with Mrs Mike...she would KILL HIM ! ! ! ha haaaaaaa

See you tomorrow :-)

erm........Do we address area co-ordinators as "Sir" or "Cur" ?
