WHO would be interested in a track day ?

Nothing organised, just rent the track for a day and have a blast.
Cannot guarantee the weather BUT...you dont get wet with the top down in a thunderstorm ...do you ???? pmsl

I believe they will set a curcuit out for us using cones or something like that.

This will be at Edzell.

All I want for now is numbers ?
Cant say what DAY it would be, so if you cannot wangle a day from your work (or throw a sickie) IF it turns out to be a weekday, then dont show interest. It could fall at a weekend, but THIS I cannot guarantee at this time.
There would be no timing gear or anything set up, so we either just tear arse around, or set up a stop watch situation.

Will let you know more details when I get some replies to all the daft questions I am puting to the track owner right now.

I do not know costings or anything right now, and am happy to pay and have the whole place to myself cause I am like that ! ha haaaaaaa

It could cost a zillion pounds so I will have to wait and see is all.
Regards from Mack

Paul
Emoticons are on the LEFT of this page. LOL
OR....go to FAQ where it says:
What are Smileys?
Smileys, or Emoticons, are small graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code, e.g. :) means happy, :( means sad. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smileys, though, as they can quickly render a post unreadable and a moderator may decide to edit them out or remove the post altogether.
:D

I have not heard back from the email I sent to David at Edzell, so have no further news on THAT yet.
Maybe Si would know ?
I do not want anything organised as I hate all that stuff...I am not very tollerant !
I just wish to get a track and cane the Turbo around for several hours having sideways fun is all

Will keep you posted though

EDZELL UPDATE

Postby loftladderman » Wed Jul 07, 2004 3:55 pm

Hi Paul D-S

I had an email from someone in Davids Carnegie's office to say he was on vacation until the 18th of July and he would get in touch with me on his return.

Can't be only me and thee interested....can there ?
Would seem to be the case though.
One would think EVERY MX5 / Roadster owner would want to "play" in a safe environment would't you ?
Sideways is GOOD !

I'm always interested in MX-5 track time!! Budget is kind of tight and wouldn't pay more than ?40 for anything less than 2 hours (?38 for 2 hours at Knockhill with ss-R).
