Knockhill Track Night 2007

.... for those that enjoy 'tracking' their car.

Well people, thunder and lightning last night up at Knockhill. Today dry and sunny, just a bit of a haar down at the bridge. See you there.

15mph on the edinburgh city bypass because no one could see anything except lightning!
Weather looks good for Knockhill today. Was going to come and watch but had to go to the docs in Edinburgh and I'm not heading back over the bridge again! Anyone taking a camera? :D

Not going to be able to come along now. Just found out that my MOT expired at the start of May and I didn't receive any reminder from VOSA/DVLA.

If anyone wants my place they can have it for free.

I'm now off for a cry then to get roaring drunk and possibly hit something.

Would like to thank Gordon & Kermit, who just had his bits fitted at 3pm today for my first MX5 laps...great to see Kermit healthy. Next, Wes took me out, who did very well to "catch it" time ...thought it was deliberate 8) Wes! I am also now officially "RocDoc'd" ...nor did it matter to him it got damp, added to the experience. Fantastic laps Andy , many thanks to you. If I was know! :D Hope Andy LIICHT got home OK. My passenger Ron had a whale of a time too! Great to finally put so many new faces to names...Mark, Findlay, PaulD, Scarecrow.....
And, finally got to drool over DH's Monty! Best Club Event I have had yet, with a wee bonus of a short convoy back to Kincardine Bridge...I think I held up Lowflyer now and then.

It was yet another great night. Shame about the red flag moments but these things happen. Can we claim some money back on our income tax since one of our MSPs caused the biggest delay  Who's selling the picture to the scotsman?

I hope the people I took out for passenger laps enjoyed it - I managed to make my poor wife car-sick when I took her out :P

Cant wait to see Si's video

Special thanks to Gordon and Janice for looking after wee James whilst I took Jools out.

Oh - and thanks to Boydie for helping fit the ARB last week - I think it was worthwhile

Douglas, thanks for organising yet another superb track evening. Sorry for almost buggering up your plan for only novices to follow the pace car ........

I don't think I've seen so many FI'd cars at one track meet before and it was great to see so many of them on track. Track etiquette was, as usual, exemplary and speaks volumes about the fantastic members that our club has.

Hope everyone that got a few pax laps enjoyed themselves ..... no new underwear required I hope ;)

It was my first outing on a track and it was superb! Even with my 1.6, I was never wanting for more power around the track which I imagine you probably would on a mixed trackday when TVR's and tuned Evo's constantly overtake you.

Thanks to Jim, Richard, Si and Douglas for the passenger rides. No 'adrenaline is brown' moments for me. Loved it. Hope to be on circuit next year.

No problem Gavin.
The dodgy "no grip" (TM) tyres have been consigned to the bin, F1's are back on. lesson learned.  :P
