I was at the one last year and it was fantastic! It had the type of classics I love - noisy, smelly and dented rather than polished, pebble-beach nonsense.

Wouldn't mind going to that just for the Spitfire fly past, there is something magical about the sound they make :D

Is this the best engine noise ever?

Anyone else remember the former BAe Mosquito echoing around the Perthshire hills at Strathallan airshows back in the 80s?...pure magic and much missed.

Thanks for that, what a fabulous site (and sounds!). There really is nothing like the sound of a Merlin, is there? 8)

Incidentally the Lancaster on the ground was a kick in the backside off airworthy. It was sold after the Strathallan collection went defunct and was roaded out to woodford in manchester.....incidentally where they were built. Twas the year of snow and the hanger collapsed under the weight......bye bye one Lancaster.

Ignore the crappy made up bits, this is the late, great Ray Hanah flying a Mk9 under a bridge for real.
