Postby DouglasH » Wed Jun 23, 2004 11:23 pm

A chance to spoil your car with the goodies you have always been meaning to buy, plus you get them at a discounted price. A contingent from Central and North Scotland will be attending this years Rally at Weston Park near Telford.
Meeting at Abington Services on M74 on Saturday 4th, 10.00 for 10.30 travelling in convoy to our Hotel (208 miles) attending the Rally on the Sunday, then heading home Sunday afternoon, please let me know soon if you wish to attend or need any other info.

Rooms are still available for the National visit, all you have to do is contact Sue by phone or e-mail (see below) leave your name and credit card details..thats all.

The Hotel complex is situated in a little village called Yarnfield near Stone, which is 20 miles north of Weston Park.

My Company send me on training courses to this complex, normally about once a year and I cannot fault the place for comfort and luxury.

Complex has 338 rooms, (all en-suite) prices are :-

?45.00 exc vat ?52.87 inc vat single room. B&B
?60.00 exc vat ?70.50 inc vat double. B&B

Bar in the complex will be opened for us on the Saturday night, there are a few country pubs in the area including one within walking distance from the Hotel.

contact details are :- www.accenturehotelandconferencing.com
Tel..01785 762906 ask for Sue Ward.
e-mail sue.ward@accenture.com

Just in case - I've emailed Sue to confirm that Pauline and I require a room for Sat 4/9.
Has anyone any plans for extending the week-end, e.g. a Friday or Sunday night stop-over en-route?
Gordon.

Heather and myself were thinking of breaking the journey home a few beers  and a sleep on sunday night but have not finalised yet - trying to negotiate another day off just before we go on holiday.

Hi Chic!

Good idea!
Unless a better idea comes to mind, there's two decent Travel Inns at Carlisle (with restaurants).
We've used them in the past - they're "OK".
Speak soon!

Gordon.

Andy

Meeting up sounds good but when heading south we usually travel cross country to Abington - through Forth, Hyndford Brig etc. so if you dont mind the direct if not motorway route then we can arrange to meet possibly in east whitburn as you exit the M8

Hi Chic,

Carlisle sounds fine to us - only one thought however - do you know when we will be leaving the rally and therefore when we might reach Carlisle ? Heather thought we might be too late for dinner if we travel so far north and Sandy will tell you what it is like if Heather or Margo don't get their food intake
