There are very few who will have track insurance on the day and you'll be very unlucky if you do have an accident
Fair point, my first thought about this was that all insurance quotes, including the AON one thru MX-5 that I got, they specified "no rallies or track days", therefore not even a possibility to do this. (Even wondered if I would be covered during the National "Rally"!)
But then when you do have a bump you do usually end up having to pay for it anyway since it would 'bump up' your next premium - so really insurance only essential on the open road when you might be held responsible for a.n. other average motorist's major damage/ compensation - presumably this is less likely to be the case on a track day where you're just testing the car individually?
Anyway, while interested can't do it on this date. But for future ref, does the 'track intro' thing at Knockhill cover complete newbies to track stuff?
