Hello from a new(ish) member!

Hi there

I thought although I've posted a couple of replies here and there I would properly say hello in post all by itself.

I've owned my Roadster for a couple of weeks now and can say hand on heart that I love every minute I spend in the car.

I live in Edinburgh so see plenty of 5's and Roadsters around and have just started flashing other owners (on flash backs yet :( ) I guess not everyone is a member of the forums it owners club. I'll keep trying.

I see that there is a member from Arbroath? That's my hometown - nothing really to shout about but something in common other than the cars :)

I'll keep an eye out for you.

I say Arbroarh is my hometown but I've lived in Edinburgh for 12 years so this is most definitely home now. I was born and bred in Arbroath and only go back a few times a year to visit friends and family.

Of course I miss the smokies mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I usually buy some if I'm back for a weekend or get my father in law or parents to bring some through if they are visiting.

Hello from another relative newbie here to you :D

I used to live in Edinburgh as a student, great place for a night out

Being a poor student my cars at the time were heaps of junk but that made it handy for a bit of touch parking when blocked in as normal but most of the time I used the bus or bike, cheaper and faster.

Back in my home town again now but I really do miss Edinburgh, it really is a place that gets under your skin, bit the the MX5 :D

I also used to live in Edinburgh when I was a student at crappy Napier! Now I'm at a proper Uni in Glasgow  but I'm still in Edinburgh a lot seeing the girlfriend! I'll look out for you!

Few of my mates were at Uni in Edinburgh... mostly Hairy-Hat Watt.

Welcome to the forum Mark! :D

Napier was the place I went to also, but that probably had more to do with my bad grades at school and Napier being the only place that was stupid/desperate enough to let me in. I thought it was ok and a lot less stuck up than those Edinburgh uni types and especially those Herriot lot :P

I even know someone that left their uni to come to Napier on purpose, although it was Abertay that he left
