Easter Weekend 6-9th April 2007

Postby DouglasH » Mon Jan 15, 2007 7:27 pm

Please vote for your preference or leave a comment on the proposal for the Easter Weekend, based on the details below.

Richard has kindly offered to organise this trip, more details to follow but the initial plan is to stay for three nights at different locations although some at the planning meeting said they might have preferred two nights only:-

Day One...Perth to Ullapool 230 miles.
Day two...Ullapool to Melvich 123 miles.
Day three...Melvich to Huntly 173 miles.
Day four...Huntley to Perth 102 miles.

Total...628 miles.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Is that Huntly up with us (A96)? Sarah and I would love to go.

Would have loved to take in this run but it's a busy weekend at work over easter and there's no chance of me giving myself the time off

If we can, would it be acceptable to meet up possibly on the road to Ullapool, stay 2 nights and leave the group at Huntly.
When is the deadline to let you know?

No Problem Paul, stick a wee message on the event section, to say your going. The problem is we have to get the Hotels booked asap, because its Easter they are filling up fast.

After you have booked your rooms could you leave a message on here or the events section to say you have done so, Richard will then be in touch with you about your route preference.

Like Richard I would rather pay for a nice hotel than rough it and Chas might vouch that the hotel cost is the least of the cost, bar bill tends to exceed it
- Hotels booked Richard, Thanks

I know this hotel very well, it's where I camped out whilest opening the new shop in Wick.

I'll pop down and catch up with you in the bar that evening, it's only 15 minutes doon the road.
