Hi!

The Netherlands Trip is drawing nearer!

Any ideas on travel yet?
Who's going?

I must admit that I still fancy going via the Rosyth Ferry.......??

Gordon.

Received a mail today from Jenny Dorgan A/C Tyne Tees, she has been advised by a friend in Holland that a new law about carrying I.D. took effect from the 1st November 2004, all persons over the age of 14 have to carry either their passport or an ID card. If you don't carry one and are stopped by the police you can get up to a 2200 euro fine.

Still waiting on ferry timetables being published, there are 5 from Scotland Area and 5 from Tyne Tees going, have heard that 10 is the magical number for group discount.

Gordon

What is Grouse in Dutch or have you not moved from beer to whisky in your new phrase book.

Not sure how Pauline and Heather will survive - Dutch wine does not seem too readily available

"Grouse" as in "bird" doesn't have a translation..... :(
"Grouse" as in "swally" doesn't need one....... :D
"Grouse" as in "grumpy" apparently translates as "Gordon"
- or so I'm told.....

Imported wines are available, so 'her-indoors' won't go short.... !!
