Hamilton to Lanark Run 22nd Oct 06

Postby DouglasH » Mon Oct 09, 2006 10:01 am

If you intend going on this Run,
could you let the organisers John & Colin
know your going, either by leaving a
comment on the events section, or by
contacting them, the lunch venue would
like an idea of numbers by Thursday 19th Oct.

Got to say thanks to Colin for letting me have a blast in his Mk3 while reccying the Hamilton/Lanark run (gotta be a better name for it - any ideas?)

The car was superb and handled a lot better than I had expected

oh and Colin has come up with some quite surprising roads for the run that I hadn't driven on before, also the lunch stop at Blackaddie Hotel was excellent - Lisa the owner says she is looking forward to our visit

anyway - thanks again Colin

John,

Don't tell my other half. I'll keep her away from the computer for a few weeks and away from you on the run. If you should bump into her, tell her you've driven a MK3 and it was awful. (Theres a beer in it for you).

Don

Why don't you call it "The Clyde Valley Run"

Will be accepting deposits for the Xmas Lunch at the Hamilton to Lanark (The long way) Run. If you can't make this Run or the Tech Day you can send a cheque.
Closing date for bookings 19th November. (Tech Day)

Mk 3 - rubbish. Sell it for scrap.

Heep of junk even has a rev limiter.....that kicks in about the 25,000,000 rpm mark......

Its a disgrace to the force......it should turn its badge in to the nearest dealership

( But Mrs Don still wants one - and thats all that matters.....cos she's the boss  )

Have informed Lisa at the Blackaddie Hotel that there will be a minimum of 10 cars (19 bods) coming for lunch on Sunday.

Please note that this doesn't exclude anyone turning up at the last moment.

Looking forward to Sunday and hope that the weather stays nice.

Change of priorities, unable to make this run. Enjoy.
2009 Convertible Coupe 2.0L Sport now that the 2005 LE and 2007 Z Sport Limited are dead.
