Devil's Beef Tub - MOFFAT

You gotta try this one.

Start in Moffat (bacon roll and a coffee at Cafe Ariete) - take the A701 (Tourist route to Edinburgh) with the road winding its way up outside the Town and over the Devil's Beef Tub through Tweedsmuir, following the Tweed and through Broughton.

Road forks onto the A72 and then cut off right before Blyth Bridge onto the A72 towards Peebles.

14 miles or so after Peebles turn off right onto the A708 heading back, passing through a couple of wee settlements, drive alongside St Mary's Loch and then back into Moffat.

Utterly fantastic drive.

Take some time out and do it.

Looks like a few runs we've had before but well worth doing again. :D

Should have also said, about 10 miles from Moffat on the road back you'll pass the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall (5th highest in the UK) - well worth a stop.

Just mind you don't hit a stray sheep on the road back Gavin, otherwise it could inadvertently end up beside you in the passenger seat.

Cheers
