Front spoiler

Postby secat187 » Sun Jan 30, 2005 1:18 am

Has anyone noticed any difference in an mx-5 fitted with a front spoiler over one without?

Cheers

Apart from making the front look better, then yes :)

I had a front spoiler fitted before any suspension modifications and it really helped make the car feel more stable when driving on the motorway at speed. I guess it must be reducing the amount of airflow under the car.

Since doing additional suspension mods (i.e. lowering) the difference is even more remarkable.

Thanks, I'll probably refit my spoiler at some point soon.

Hi Alex,
I agree with Si, but I fitted a fibre glass after market from Moss and it was very difficult to line up, still not happy with final result. My pal Oly fitted one of the factory plastc ones he got from E Bay and it was much more pliable and easier to fit, looks better too.
Wish I had spent the extra now and got the plastic one.
