Fitting a Hard top

Postby secat187 » Fri Jan 21, 2005 3:41 pm

I've got a 94 eunos and I would like to know what I need to fit a hard top to my car. I think I may need a fitting kit, but having never seriously looked at hard tops I am at a loss.

Ok I understand the mushroom bolts, but the side brackets are confusing me a little. Where do they attach on to the car?
Please excuse my ignorance on this.

They go immediately behind the door (by your shoulder). A bit of drilling is needed.

I too have a Eunos and have been contemplating fitting a kit (just in case) and I've been watching some on good old ebay, some have plastic panels along with the parts decribed above.

If I get only the parts listed above, how easy is it to "cut" the plastic panels ?

Lochpark, I've got a Eunos with hardtop fitted.
I work in Ayr so if you want to come and have a look at how it all fits together some day, feel free.

Pablo, thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on that.

Easy, if you take them off the area to cut out is marked

Hard top is coming tomorrow :D

I've already got the fitting kit, the two mushroom bolts and the 2 side brackets, but I'm not exactly sure how the brackets will bolt on. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to how out where the line up, but do I have to make a threaded hole for the bolts?

##edit##

Just been told that there should already be two threaded holes behind the trim. Just need to find them and cut the trim to fit around the brackets.
