MX5 / V8 Problems

Postby loftladderman » Sat Dec 18, 2004 9:45 pm

Well ! ! !
I am having BIG time problems.
Fitted the 4.9lt V8 into my MX and fitted the prop / rear axle, new rear wheels etc.
The rear wheels are a wee bit on the BIG side as I got them off a MACK truck.
I needed to expand the boot lid too, to carry the 200lt NOS system and the 100lt Methanol tanks !
Couldnt get the new Carbon Fibre bonnet to fit over the Holly Carb set up with the bucket air filter system.
Had to use the old aluminium bonnet, cut a huge hole in it.... then fibre glass a damned great power bulge in the middle.
My main problem is now seeing OVER that bulge and does anyone have a suitable periscope I can borrow.
