C'mon you TECHY boffins

I need an AUDIBLE or VISUAL warning system in the car (Greddy) for my indicators.
It needs to be fairly loud to be heard over the cacophony of noise withing the car.

Main problem is I cannot SEE when they are on (That part of the dash board being a blind area to me) and have left them on for miles till some kind soul flashes his indicators, or his hazards, in front or behind me to draw my attention to this.

Leaving them on is damned dangerous too !
Even a flashing LED set into the steering cover top would do the trick.
Even a voice saying "switch the indicators off DORK" would suffice :-)

I need to know WHAT to buy and a schematic drawing of how and where to connect it up please.

I though on utilizing the seat belt warning buzzer but it is not loud enough at any reasonable speeds to hear it :-(
A reversing bleeper hooked up, when placed IN the cab is just far to loud.

Thinking caps on gentlemen please.

There are plenty of 12v buzzers available. Try Tandy

Buzzers I have...20 of them ex ebay if they will work Richard.

What I require is a SCHEMATIC plan for fitting them to the indicators.

I thought by just tapping into the wires to right and left behind dash would do the trick when earthed...but that does not work :-(

It should NOT be an IQ test so I am doing something wrong hence why I asked for help.

There is a hazard/turn relay to drive the lights .. need to be on light side of that.. this relay does the timing for the flashes... so you could catch this on the dashboard light side and put it to earth.. actually need a diode from each line and an earth on the other the other side of the buzzer.

The flasher/relay is around steering column area ... put hazards on and feel for a black vibrating/ticking relay with an 8 way connector.. the 1.8 Miata manual shows the wires you need to pick are G/B and G/W or Green/Black & Green/White.. they are top left and mid left bottom on plug when tab is at the top.. other colours on plug are from top left... Green/Wh, Green/Rd, Orange, Blk..second row .. Blk/Rd, Green/Yll, Green/Blk,unused...

I thought electrifying the seat/steering wheel should do the trick.. try starting with couple of old coils run in series to drop the voltage a little so you do not jump lanes on each spark/flash
