Stubby Aerial Mk1

Postby drumtochty » Sat Dec 26, 2015 9:37 pm

The car has an electrical aerial at the moment that does not work and the owner wants one of those stubby aerials rather than the electric one fixed.

I got a manual aerial base to put in place of the electric base and an ebay stubby.

The ebay stubby comes with two threaded adapters one is too large a diameter, the other with the stubby has the large diameter end to fit the stubby and a smaller diameter part on the other end to fit into the aerial base that is not long enough to catch the threaded receptor in the manual base.

Apart from buying the mx5parts expensive adapter has anyone any else found a solution.
