MX5 1999 Mk2 1.8i s Heater

Postby drewj » Wed Jul 01, 2015 1:50 pm

Hi

Slight problem with Heater which still puts out some heat when Off.

I believe it is a heater Flap and not a Valve which controls this.

Grateful for any Tips.

Cheers

Nice welcome to a new user. This is the Technical board after all isn't it?

Regarding the OP, my '94 Mk1 still gives out some heat even when the heater is off, so may be a common issue but has never really bothered me. I just move the heat slider to the centre or to cool.

Hopefully someone else will be able to give you a better solution.

Cheers,

Ed

As Eddie is feeling trapped in his garage :-)

Google "Miata NB heater too hot" gave the first 2 replies with the answers..

Here is a Google search for you.

Trick is to know that a Miata is an MX5 in USA which have lots and lots of stuff... and an NB is a Mk2..

Have fun
