Hardtop HRW.

Postby BBAV » Fri Jun 26, 2015 5:48 pm

Hi All,
I have very recently bought a MX 5 1999 10th Anniversary Ltd. Ed. It came with a hardtop with a heated rear window (well I thought it had) but what the seller didn't point out to me at the time and I didn't notice, was that the power connector clip on the glass was broken off. Anybody had any experience of this, do you know if it is just a matter of soldering a new clip back on, or is it a bit more technical than that like some kind of special soldering required or have I hit bad luck already, and means the glass needs replacing??

Regards,
BB.

A decent autoelectrician should be able to sort that for you easily enough for hardly any £'s.

Thanks, gm & DTB

Will keep you posted how I get on with it and what the outcome is, which hopefully will help anyone in future if they get the same problem.
