Interior stuff off the ramp

As I'm now not attending work, if anyone wants a more relaxed look at their car on the ramp, PM me and we can do that on a one to one basis at a date that suits us both.

No need to bring any tools as the Drumtochty Facilities are fully equiped.

Catering

Joan will have tea and coffee available all day as well as bacon rolls in the morning, soup and filled rolls around lunch time and scones for everyone apart from TJ and myself as we are just too fat. Lunch will be more of a rolling event as some people will be busy with their car at times while others are free to eat.

Same as Ian although if anyone knows how to dismantle the SLK to access the rear of the Comand system to fit a lead from a rear camera, do let me know!

Which flavour of tuna sarnie is it to be?

A cheeky hint of DOT 4?

An excellent year of Copaslip from the south of the garage?

The syntrans usually comes from the nearly well washed hands when I do the lunch.

The better half is looking after the catering this time so I assume a quality increase in the offering.

Sounds great Eddie! :D Thanks.
If we could squeeze in an engine oil change to the 09:00 slot that would be ace - but no worries if not enough time.
Cheers

Malcolm,

Keep meaning to buy MB STAR software as I need to reprogram my fuel gauge on the ML500..

I have had the Command unit out from that car.. bought the special tool as on a 2002 Command 2.0 it has 2 slots either side (tried to cut parts to suit) as shown. Not sure you want yours that far apart? Mine needs a TV tuner adapter to take a standard RGB PAL reversing camera which is silly money- £250 .. not sure if you do?

Not sure what day this is on .. doubtful I will get down but Eddie knows where I am.

.. and to give it MX-5 relevance .. here is that unit fitted to an MX-5 :-) http://www.mercupgrades.com/COMAND+Retrofit-article-1.html

We have now reached the reasonable maximium number of cars to get on the ramp and have reasonable time to do the work concerned or to generally to inspect and titavate.

Is the first post in this thread the rough running order?

I'll come down with Lorraine to have one less car cluttering up the drive.. :D

We'll probably target back of 10.

Some locals early and the rest on a when posted basis but if people like HelenB are only wanting a look and we may find something that is needing a quick tighten then I intend to let some of those cars on the ramp between three oil change jobs.

Bit of a see who arrives and when.

As Eddie and I were both free today I took my Mk2 up to him today, he very kindly checked the underside, changed engine oil and filter, changed diff and gear box oils too, I had a spare set of new spark plugs so changed them too.
Also made Jen and I a cuppa and when Joan came back from visiting her mum we had another cuppa and a roll too.
Had a lovely top down drive there and back in the sunshine, all in all a very nice afternoon and bonus is that we freed up another slot for Saturday for others.
Many thanks to Eddie for the work done on my car and we are both looking forward to Joan's home made soup and bacon rolls on Sat morning.
I will go to the bakers en route to you for some cake "treats"
btw car feels like it is pulling better through the gears and engine far quitter with the new oil in it. sorted !!!

cheers
:D :D :D

ps left a brand new set of Iridium spark plugs to suit either a Mk3 or 3.5 if anyone interested see either Eddie or I on Sat.
