Have you tried the club insurers? AON were pretty good for me considering my age and the mods. I also know a few of the more 'senior' ;) members in the club have fantastic deals with them.

Be cheaper to fit the alarm, then insure with AON

Try Privilege Insurance (0845 246 8551). I have been with them for a few years now. Im 35 live in EH51 post area and pay about ?350 fully comp with no claims protection and legal protection included for a 1999 1.8. It is not an import though so I don't know if that will make a difference

Tesco quoted us ?320 today, year old 1.8i Nevada, both drivers over 30, one has an accident and a speeding claim in last 3 years, other is a clean licence.

Fully comp, full protected ncd.

I'll be 'phoning AON in the morning to see if they can better that.

We,ve just got cover on ours through Tesco (online). Tried AON and a few others. The two best quotes were from Adrian Flux and Tesco. Tesco however didn't even ask about an alarm and were a little bit cheaper. With limited NCB and 3 points on my license we paid ?400. We were quoted a good bit more than that and glad we kept searching.
