GPS

Postby grouse » Sat Jul 10, 2004 9:48 pm

I need to update my old Garmin GPS and I've been looking around today.
The Navman 630 caught my eye, but there's the new Navman PiN - has anyone got an opinion/experience to relate?
Thanks
Gordon.

Hi Grouse.
I have the Navman 630 and cannot speak too highly of it.
It goes to every vehicle I am driving and although I paid near on ?1K for it a year ago, I believe they are down to nearer ?600 now.

I have no knowledge of the Navman PiN but can say the Navman 630 has never let me down, ever, at home or abraod.

Hi Mack!

Thanks for that!
I bought the Navman 630 yesterday - still at nearly ?800 - but looks good!
I'll try to justify the cost by using it "for work" during the week!
See you soon!
Gordon.

Hope you are enjoying your Navman :-)

I have just upgraded my Geo Micro Safety Camera warning system (Revenue raiser camera that is) to the new Road Angel 2.
Great addition to sit with the Navman without giving the cops money for nothing :-)

Add-ons!

Hi Mack!

Have you got enough sockets?? :)
I don't think my system can handle the basics, never mind the add-ons!! :(

But - I am impressed with the Navman - on some routes I regularly use, it has found better! :o

Hi Gordon
I have 2 fag lighter sockets.

I fitted an extra one myself.
The new Road Angel is direct wired so all I have to do is plug the wee socket in the back is all.

Only the Navman is now in a fag lighter and wont be as soon as I get some more plugs for it.

Shall wire it in hard, as I have done in the van.
Hate to see all them wires floating around anyway :-)

Yup, the Navman is fantastic for a GPS.
Expensive perhaps, but you get what you pay for :-)
