Red Roof

Postby Si » Mon Oct 11, 2004 1:26 pm

Now before any wize guys make a comment, I KNOW I've attached a photo of a MGF, but I'm not interested in the car ...... just its roof.

I think the red goes brilliantly with the silver and would like something like this for myself. I know ShingFungTrading/Sumo do a red roof, but it looks VERY red.

Anyone know where I can buy such a beasty (at a reasonable price .... i.e. < ?300).

Cheers,

Looks ok,but you'll need some kind of contrast in the interior i think. You can't say the car in the pic is ugly....i quite like the look of Mg's as do many others in the club.

Moss International in Telford do roofs in the MG fabric. They did a green one for me on a Mk1 Eunos, so I guess they could do red...costs around ?480 if I remember correctly.

Red roof

Postby Stonehaven » Sun Nov 14, 2004 11:26 pm

Si,
Mack has a Shing Fung red mohair soft top on his Gredy Turbo, only pics I have are roof down but I am sure he would provide one if you asked.

Thanks for that. However, I've already ordered and fitted a new plain black vinyl roof. Two reasons : 1) I couldn't really afford mohair, and 2) until I can get the car garaged and run as a 2nd car I should try to not attract attention to it (red roof would stand out quite a lot I think).

Still, at least it's something I can do in the future!! :)
