And very nice that is too Gordon! :) Selected a wee photo myself for an avatar but, as it seems to be slightly over the recommended byte-size & cannot fathom how to squish it down successfully with my Fuji FinePix, got stuck without!

Thanks Liz!

Basic requirement, apart from picture, is a teenage son who's into computers & needing pocket money!

Gordon.

You gotta catch 'em first!

Usually, they appear a) when it's dark, and you need to go to bed!
b) when they're hungry/thirsty/skint

but not when dishwasher needs emptying/grass needs cutting/car(s) need washing/dogs need walking.... anything requiring effort!

My wee avatar has been weeks in preparation! :)

Grouse:

I deal with students all the time, so am familiar with the strange hours & habits of the teenage+ species  Not so good when you have to be up phoning & meeting workmen at dawn to make reparations for what said students have done to flats - then can never obtain awake member of species to gain OK for entry to worksite at that hour :(
Then again was just-as-bad student myself briefly so prob experiencing karmic returns  Actually they just crack us up sometimes  it's fun, as I daresay having teenage son is (also *sometimes*)! He's certainly made a nice job of the avatar!

Simon:

Bless you sweetie. Will find and (attempt to!) send it to you. Think it's the background colour that's greedy - pls don't crop the car any more! :D

Thanks Si 8) (As you see, can't keep the Westies out of the car, forever wanting a wee run, pawprint-city on the passenger seat  Only way to please 'em is just to go ) I know Mack has this same 'problem' with Dax - anyone else?

Liz (v distracting because they stare at you all the way )

you'll be needing Mazda to produce a new triple-decker 5 :? to accommodate that lot - guess it would have the same aerodynamic qualities as the fabled 'stretch' Miata
