Central Scotland Raffles 2018

Having finally got round to handing over the second half of our 2018 raffle collection fund, we travelled up to Perth Airport at Scone and were welcomed by local coordinator Fiona Dennis who introduced us to the duty crew of pilot, Shaun and paramedics Julia and Rich.

They explained the operation of the service, then we were shown round the helicopter which thankfully was not called out to an incident.
A long, very enjoyable chat ensued with the crew who provide an essential life saving 24 hour service throughout the length and breadth of Scotland.

They then came out to have a look at our cars and talk some more. It turns out Fiona was the proud owner of a Mk2 which was poorly and receiving a new head gasket.

We had a great visit and thanks to all involved - I only wish the amount had been greater.

They were in our local Aldi collecting. Gayle and I signed up. Sure it was the chap either on the left on the back row or the chap with the checked shirt we were talking to in the first photo.
Such a deserving cause.
