Grampian/Tayside FROTY

Postby IanH » Sun Feb 24, 2019 9:42 pm

In the spirit of collaboration in the Clubs 25th year (and something we do fairly regularly anyway) Grampian and Tayside members met on Sunday 24th February at Glenshee Ski Centre. Fortunately for us the weather was completely unseasonal and there was no snow, for the Ski businesses it is more of a real concern.

17 MX-5’s (and one guest Alfa Romeo) got together for a run through Glenisla and a stop for lunch in Finavon before heading North and South respectively. For February the roads were in good condition to allow the MX-5’s to be enjoyed fully

That's a good turn out for a run at this time of year. I'd kind of hoped to make it along myself but other events (not the good type) got in the way. I had a good run to dundee to pick someone up last week though. My own private FROTY.

That lack of snow at this time of year is quite something (and definitely not good for the skiers, or the ski companies).
