Back from the dead!

Postby monikieman » Thu Jun 04, 2015 10:15 pm

Hi folks.

Not been round here much for a while. Mr Miyagi is still aff the road! My panel beater friend moved house last year so the welding never got done.

So, its been started and of course, got bigger once the grinder came out. 2 full sills, outriggers, rear inner strengthening plates behind hidden part of the sill etc etcpatches under the front wing, front wing...... That was the drivers side!!!!!

Passenger side and then hopefully an MOT and back on the road soon.

Hope to upload some pics and carch up with folks again in the near future.

All the best.

Brian

Is it you or the car that's been resurrected Brian?

I thought you had the sills done previously - a while ago though if my memory serves me correctly. Sounds like more thorough remedial work this time!

Full sills and the 1/4 panel cover and also the strengthening plate that runs the length inside the sill (but only the bit at the back)

Mk1 sills from Autolink (no links) are really think and a great fit.

First repair didn't tackle all of the inside bit!!!!!

Hopefully meet up for a blether. Cheers

Will try and get some of the passenger side before the grinder hits it and after. Cheers
