Both 4WD's Off the Road

Postby drumtochty » Thu Dec 11, 2014 9:16 am

Got the Impreza MOT'd last Wednesday not a problem.

Took it to work on Friday and this little job lasts until late December.

Put the winter tyres on Saturday to find a faulty rear suspension strut, it arrived yesterday.

So I took the Suzuki Jeep to work yesterday but one of the vacuum hubs went faulty so had to take the MK3 today and Auchenblae is covered in ice.

The rear end went at 15mph but caught itself, a little highlight of the day.

So changing a Suzuki hub tonight but have to do both as you cannot work out which one is faulty so that's is less an hours work and if still feeling brave changing an Impreza rear strut unless there is a good weather forecast for Friday.

Ok

The little job I'm doing at the moment.

The design team are well away from completing the job, only about £10,000,000,000 at the moment without having much detail of the job.

They have asked me if I will be able to do a detailed estimate from bottom up by Friday that is accurate.

I gave an answer that had to do with sex and travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They seemed slightly surprised!

The management then started arguing as one of the other teams has an estimate to do for another client and they want me for that before this one finishes.

Aye,interesting times in the Oil Industry.

Hum... I was thinking about that issue too on the way into work today .. but at least my roller skate is wrong wheel drive (FWD).
G-Wagon; needs MOT and a new steering tie bar fitted but has 3/4 ton of lightweight render in front of it.. anyone want some fancy light weight render?
Rav-4 in process of being sold so in bits; cambelt, exhaust, tow bar (and trapped in by a big white slug aka home on wheels)
Unimog A; engine stripped to components, no cab, silly tyres, no brakes etc
Unimog B; no roof and back of cab moves very independently, no brakes, donor for engine for first one really
.. guess the quad still goes and the pimp/baby mobile (ML500) goes..
As for the poor Roadster.. not moved for over a year .. along with the Copen.. nice little town car for sale!
.. and that is the thought Eddie.. you can take the Copen on .. the Bridgestones are very much summer only.. even if FWD it is way worse than your roller skate; could not believe how bad it is .. had to park up after 1/4 mile.

What bits are up on the Suzuki?

Just one of the vacuum operated free wheeling hubs held on by 8 off E10 nuts needs removed and replaced, I hope.

I have one in stock if that is the problem.

Does not even need to go on the ramp.
