TJ Sort Out The AA

Postby drumtochty » Thu Mar 20, 2014 4:10 pm

In the AA Magazine which is available online there is an article on the MX5 being 25 and it links to the guy who has had the most MX5's. His name is Ian Johnson from Diss in Norfolk.

He reckons he has had 40 and a max of 8 at any one time.

I guess you could not better the 8 but you may be able to better the 40 in total.

The article also says the latest soft top as well as the RC is electrically raised. ... y-birthday

Well Eddie thank you for the back handed compliment !! Been busy checking my files of car that I have purchased over the years and although I had my fair share of Mx5's since my first one ( bought new) in 1994 my final tally of Mx5's is 35 !!
Breakdown is as follows -

22 - Mk1's
5 - Mk2's
4 - Mk2.5's
4 - Mk3's

I know 6 of the new owners, all live in Dundee, 3 are in the club. My blue Niseko Mk3 is in Fife and I am hoping that the owners will join the club this year !!
My current cars a restored 1995 Mk1 in Classic red (1.8) and a 2007 Mk3 roadster 2.0 in Black
2007 Mk3 roadster/c/w electric hard top. Number 50 !!!
