Did you finally get rid of the bits from the scrapped car.

Yes pretty much. Got a few odd small bits and bobs that I’ve hung onto but that’s it !

Really want to scratch the Mk1 itch that I probably should have done a few years ago but hopefully there is something out there somewhere for me !

I have a red mk1 which I drove out of the showroom in June 95. It's been off the road a couple of years now and I've only kept it for sentimental reasons having driven it all round Europe with my late wife. Happier to let it go to a good home than scrap it. I'm in Glasgow and you can have it for nothing if you let me drive it one last time after restored. I do need it picked up in 3-4 weeks as I'm building in it's space. Pm me if you want the project and it is a project. Cheers Woody

The idea was banded about  , but we're almost finished it now so I'll be taking it down to Glasgow.

He's been making noises about what he'll do once the cars gone, so I've been on the lookout for his next project.

He says he's reluctant to spend large amounts on a new car when you can buy an mx5 and fix it for much less.

In all honesty he was leaning towards a mk3, but I'm pushing for a mk1 :D
