Postby sarahlc » Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:01 pm

Well had a nice few cars at work today, Aston Martin where doing some release event at Dalhousie, and I managed to get to have a sit in one of the New 4 door the Aston Martin Rapide , my god i wish Annabelles engine sounded like that 6 litre V12  8)

Got a couple of photos of Aston Martin newest model the Rapide

We were told by one of the guys from Aston Martin that the white one will be loaned to Top gear in the coming month and will be featured in Top gear at some point.

And Annabelle could help but get in on the act, managed to get a nice couple of shoots with her posing next the a Vantage

So working at Dalhousie Castle does have some perks :D

Oh yes if you like the look of the new Rapide we were informed that for just £139000 one can be yours

Nice!

Would prefer the original three door however.

Picture three does say something though... the classic 5 still looks good even next to such high end motoring.

It also makes the 5 look high up! Probably the photo perspective...

Annabelle is very slightly lowered and when they were parked next to each other there was very little noticeable height difference.

I think that given that the MK1 design is now over 20 years old it still looks fairly fresh even when parked next to what has to be one of the most beautiful cars in production at the moment

The Mk1 shares its inside door handles with the DB7. I noticed them straightaway during the test drive :-)

Nice photos. I think the Aston looks a lot more convincing a 5 door coupe than the Porsche Panamera. Ah well I can dream about having to make that tough choice - lol :)
