Cold Wet January Morning

Postby IanH » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:54 am

Instead of the usual clear sharp nicely lit photo's here are some taken in less than optimum conditions. I was out and about just as it was getting light this morning and shot these hand held in low light with high iso whilst it was blowing a hooly and intermittently depositing wet stuff from the sky! I like the graininess that this produces, adds to the mood.

This one has had a touch of photoshop, not sure about the results, what do you think?

Where did you take them? Looks like it is Cullen down by the golf course?

Not Cullen though we're off there for chips in a few weeks, this was near Torry, click on the link for a precise location.

My mum's family had Kirkhill farm at the top of St Fitticks road from before the 2nd World War until the 1980's (I think). I spent many summers as a kid there driving the tractor , herding the "coos" and mucking oot, collectng the eggs etc.

Happy days ... but big changes since then
