Meisters and Mirrors

Postby 71NotOut » Thu Jul 16, 2015 2:47 pm

I finally had my new Meister R Zeta S coilovers fitted yesterday.

I am really pleased with how the car drives and sits on the new suspension, obviously things will settle a little and may require a bit of fine tuning but initial impressions are very good.

The drive home from fitting was "fun" as they had all been set at 23 (out of 32) from soft so things were pretty bouncy. Now sitting at 10 front, 8 rear.

I also procured some mirrors from a guy on an MX5 group on Facebook, got them delivered yesterday and fitted. The OEM chrome ones that the V-Special comes with both need a rebuild as the springs have lost their stability and the mirrors move about too much.

To be honest, I am not completely sold on the chrome ones OEM ones anyway so may end up either running these, or going for the Autolink small chrome round ones in the future.

Next up is some new alloys, and possibly a small front lip under the bumper.

Here are some photos:

Great looking car and sitting perfectly, if it was me I'd stick with the black mirrors. Although having said that - maybe chrome?

I have those same mirrors - I'm fairly sure I had to modify the mount for the passenger side one to make it vaguely useful!

Well I ended up not going for chrome mirrors in the end! :D

Someone on the Nutz forum was selling some Zoom goodies and therse mirrors were too much to resist so I bought them and fitted them today.

Visibility is much improved, especially on the passenger side, you can actually see stuff without stretching now!

Now I need a Zoom filler cap to match.
