When the ferry was at Kyle, we would stay the night at the Lochalsh Hotel the night before going over to Skye as shown in our picture.

It was lovely of a summers night watching the ferry go back and forward as you had dinner.

When the MK2 Golf was launched in the UK, the press were flown to Inverness, train down to Kyle and they spent the night at the Lochalsh.

The next morning a ferry full of Golf Mk2's were brought over from Kyleakin and delivered to the motoring writers.

my wife was born in Onich and still has family there ,they have static holiday caravans which we often hire

the frosted photo is the veiw from caravan

we also have freinds in Skye,at Heaste,

the sunny photo is on the road to Heaste ,village in background is Broadford

a cracking run, have done it as a round trip of over 400 miles on superb roads
