Clean at last...

Postby LolTM » Wed Apr 13, 2011 10:04 pm

finally managed to give the car a good clean and wax over the weekend. Also did the roof with Renovo and I'm rather happy with the result. Not as shiny as many cars on here, but given she is 21 years old! Any recommendations on how I can make the dark bit around the sills look more presentable?

(apols for the naff aerial. The last one fell off so I just put that on to stop water getting in - temporary £5 fix!!)

For the sills use "Back to Black", or Mr Sheen, or Wonder Wheels Tyre Dressing. They are basically all just forms of silicon.

I have just got some Zaino Z-16.

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/zaino/zai ... d_476.html

It apparently lasts 200 miles (ish) on tyres. Have coated them, washed them after a week, and it's still there.

Another coat looks brill. No sling from the stuff either.

Used it on door to window trim and windscreen wiper scuttle panel. looks good, not too shiny.

Would work on sills as well.

Cheers
