My Mk2 1.6 - Now replaced by a Mk2 10th Anniversary!

Postby eharwood » Tue Mar 01, 2011 10:38 pm

Hello all, just thought I'd share some pictures I took last year, before the horrible weather closed in on us! I have now changed the wheels to more in proportion 16" ones though, posting these pictures on another forum got me a few funny comments regarding the size of those! :)

Ha ha! I wish! Its a country manor nearby to where I live, but thought it gave a nice backdrop!

Cheers!

Thats the one! Provides a very nice outlook over the surrounding area.

EDIT: I'm also extremely impressed that you spelled it correctly! :)

Well, the 1.6 has now gone, and has been replaced by this:

Picked it up yesterday and love it already! Its the 10th AE, and is in brilliant condition! Drives really well and has a nice bit more poke than the 1.6. Hoping to get a decent run in it tommorow, just hoping the weather holds a bit! :D

Is that your old one Richard?

I can tell where the hard top belongs. Would it be a razor blue off an arctic edition??

Ah, when did he own it? I bought it from a work colleague, who I think was a member on here for a while - Ian Caldwell.

Hope the rusty part wasnt in reference to this car! :)

What do people think about the hard top? Can't justify the outlay to get it sprayed just now, as it'll be coming off for summer anyway, but might consider it come winter...

Mmmm I dont think this is Rusty Ron's car. Different registration number and wheels.

It certainly looks like his car as can be seen from the photo of Ron's car beside my old Arctic.

Ah, I dont think it is the same, I know that the hardtop was only bought end of last year, unless its some twist of fate that the same hard top was matched back up to the car! :)

rustyron still owns a 10th anniversary mx5 with a hardtop coloured Crystal Blue.As it passed its MOT two days ago I guess its good for another year.Bought the hardtop intending to respray Innocent Blue but 4 years later have grown used to it and like the contrast, the only 10th anniversary spotted with the proper coloured hardtop looked slightly dull to my eyes.Hope our paths cross sometime would be nice to meet a clone. Hardtop comes off on 1st April !!!!!!
