Awwwwwwwww
C'mon lads and lassies.
SOMEONE organise something while I am back in Scotland for a few weeks !

DONT suggest I do it  as this man could not organise getting legless on a day visit to a distillery !

Central Scotland has 3 things posted, Northern Scotland has none !

Hi Mack,
Good to see your hame, hope business trip was successful.
Going away for a couple days mid week driving in highlands, 25th anniversary. Is this Saturday too soon? Maybe Mike9 from Ellon and Highland from Lossie might be interested in meeting in Aberdeen? too. Will not be back till late Thursday so lets see what happens.

Paul
Saturday is grand by me, just let me ken whaure and when

Grouse.
Who in their right mind would "WANT" to go to Largs ?
Not willingly for sure !
THAT was a punishment when I was a kid being dragged up in the Gorbals.

Parents used to say...."Oi Jimmy....behave yersell or you are gonna go to LARGS this cummin weekend............ jimmy" !

Trouble is, my name is Roy, and callin me Jimmy led to traumatic confusions in later life ! ha haaaaaaaaaaa

Anything below Dundee is Sassenachs territory anyways !

Largs

Postby grouse » Tue Jun 29, 2004 9:15 pm

Hi Mack!
Good to see you back1
Largs was only ever good for two things - Nardini's and the ferry to the Cumbraes!
And, that's from an Ayrshire lad!
But - we've got to get into the spirit of things!
So - we'll count you in - eh?
G.

Largs is ok

Postby BillB » Mon Jul 05, 2004 10:54 pm

Linda and I needed some fresh air and took a trip down the west coast to Ayr. (Well, Aberdeenshire and the area around Dundee is so flat and unintersting) :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

You really should try to get out of Aberdeenshire and the surrounding countryside around Dundee. There is a whole country just waiting for the sound of an air induction kit sucking in air when at full throttle.

As for Nardini's, try the fresh strawberries and ice cream and then go across the road to the bar/restuarant with the decking tarrace facing the sea, a couple of pints and you could be anywhere in the world.

Regards,

Bill & Linda

You are preaching to the choir here.

I quite often take a fast run to Ft william and back again on most of the back roads.

My other favourite longish blast is over to Ft Augustas via Aviemore and back again.

I drive around 50K miles a year in my van, so my idea of a short run does not always coincide with others I am afraid.....LOL

ie: Left St Cyrus at 23.30 last night and arrived here in Southend on Sea at NOON today.
Juts a wee run out :-) LOL
