NSE - Cullen for Chips - Sun 5th April

Postby IanH » Sun Mar 22, 2009 10:22 pm

Folks, this is the proposed route (linked below) for a run on Sun 5th April to Cullen for Chips and then back. Those of you who joined us on the Cappy run last year may remember our stop there then.

Meet up at Morrisons car park in Inverurie 12:15 for 12:30 departure.

Count me and my dad in. I just called him and persuaded him to come along. At 70 something I told him to wear his bonnet and take some diazepam to which he then asked my mum if she would like to go

If I can't get wife and one dog, or even just two dogs, into the 5, there's no way you're going to manage to fit your mum & dad in it!

I was through your way yesterday. I went up to Aviemore to see my mum for mothers day. I looked out for you.

June, indeed we have gone on a run for chips. The last one like it was for an ice cream cone  It was the Cappy Run.
You would be more than welcome to join us on the 5th, in fact you could be our guest of honour for the day 8)
I cant wait to see my dad on the run. He is a typical 70 something without the bonnet when he is driving. I was going to say he was not that bad then I remembered the tartan blanket on the back seat and the box of tissues too. Oh lordy. What have I done. I fear he may never recover from the day out :? . But he loves chips and doesnt get enough at home so that might make up for it

Count me in. Nae to sure about chips though, the last time I had chips in Cullen they tasted like they were fried in butter :? nae fine.

But that was a few years ago, in fact I probably still lived in bumff. Are we getting ice cream too?

Ohh me, we will have to have an "Ice cream tour" Huntly, Cullen, Fraserburgh.

Good roads though Ian. There are some really nice ones between foggie, cornhill and ord. Oh and the old Portsoy to Whitehills road is quite fun, usually covered in gravel though, plus you can see the wind farm. I know this area like the back of my hand.

I will have to attempt constructing a run just doubt i would be able to lead it.

Excellent, looks like a good turnout, should be a good wee run. 8)

Lorraine, your Dad will need to keep you under control in the presence of Tom's leather.....

June, you'd be more than welcome if you decided to come and join us in our quest for chips on a Sunday 8)

Marcus, you're on for putting a run route together, if you don't feel like going up front that won't be an issue.

See you all on the 5th 8)
