The Gathering ungathered

Postby Rostra » Sun Sep 21, 2008 7:45 pm

Hi all,
Hope you all got home safely. HUGE thanks to Lorraine, Douglas and Colin for whipping us in (and to Bill for coming  ), to all who were involved in the organisation and the rest of you for being there.

It's days like this that make the club so special, (and IMHO it's the forum that makes it happen).

Hasta la Vista

Angie

Hear here!

Always great to see members of our sister area. Hoping we can organise a joint event before long.
Cheers

Malc, that's too easy!

You only have to check out the lady's chest to work out who it is
A 5 in a garage is safe, but that is not what 5s are built for ...........is it?

Wey Hey - hello folks!

Yes I can type - I've just been a bit IT shy !! (will get to a picture eventually)

Got this far 'cause I wanted to add my bit.... thanks to you all and especially to Lorraine for making me feel so welcome... I've loved every minute of it :D

To quote the end of my current favourite verse......'WOO HOO - What a Ride!' :D

It was great to see everyone again, made us realise how much we miss the company, so expect to see us on more runs:-)

Had a gentle run back to Perth on Sunday in the company of a nice looking red Mk1 as far as Blairgowrie then a silver Mk2 to Perth.

The run home on Monday took us back through Glenshee, Ballater and Aboyne then back across to Kildrummy (unforunately, the Inn was closed), then Rhymie, Dufftown, Tomintoul, Granton-on-Spey, Cawdor and back home across the Kessock Bridge. Sunshine all the way.

See you all again soon.
When someone gives you a pat on the back make damned sure they did not have a knife in their hand.

As above ... thanks to the organisers; hard thankless work; so have a little thanks FWIW :)
(little late to the message fest .. stuck in a swamp this week and next now it seems  No Miata's as all the pickup trucks with cerise colored  necks have run'em over  )

.. and Helen .. welcome to the mayhem... did not really expect anyone to hang on to my coat tails for the return trip .. quite shocking behaviour   Maybe if I kept some fuel in my tank it would help in staying ahead!

He he.........this girlie doesn't always drive like a girlie! :D

Was given a little encouragement though! ......

Didn't get the signal first time round - thought .."there's no turn off here"
Second time got it and realised it was for my benefit - was a great help! 8)
