NSE Event - The Cappy Run 27th July

Postby The Pram » Thu Jun 26, 2008 2:43 pm

Our next run will be on the 27th July and entails a wee trip round the North East in search of chips and ice cream
The route is still being finalised as we speak but it includes Fraserburgh and Cullen.
We take off from Ellon at around 10.30 and hope to land for chips at lunch time.
More details will be added soon so watch this space..... :D

Thanks Ian, updated accordingly.

I'm working in the morning, on early shift.

I finish at 12 though so if I'm not utterly knackered I may join up somewhere if its a fine day and show off the new 5....

Postby Rostra » Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:48 pm

We will be with you for at least some of the run, providing I have TWO seats in the car at the time!!
Let you know where we will join you - but probably Cullen for lunch. (I do like fish and chips in this part of the world)

That sounds good Bill - great to have a chance to meet you. We're planning to join them for lunch, go on to Fraserborough for the ice cream, then come back to Forres by the route they set out on - if that makes sense.

Ok, looks like a 320 mile round trip for us, so we will drive over to Elgin on Saturday evening and stay in a hotel there. Then on to Cullen on Sunday for a chippie at lunch-time, on to Fraserborough for an ice cream and back home via Forres in your company. Now you can understand how Linda and I clocked up over 24K miles in our the first 9 months of our first year as Area co-ordinators for the North of Scotland when it was just one region.

Kim and I hope to be there if we can get all our work finished in time.

Perhaps we could meet in Elgin with the local group and drive over to Cullen from there.

Ricky, as long as you are wanting to join us then it does not matter where that might be. Just let me or Ian know where you think it might be and when and we can sort something out. See you next week

Look forward to meeting you, Bill. Good idea to split the journey in two! I would have offered our spare room for Saturday night but it is unfortunately already occupied. Our visitors have been told they have to entertain themselves on Sunday as we have more important things to do!
