Australia revisited Sunday 25th May

Postby The Pram » Sun May 11, 2008 9:14 pm

Meet at Morrisons carpark in Inverurie at 10.15 for a 10.30 departure. Plan is to stop for lunch at the Old Fire Station Tea Room in Tomintoul.
Can you please indicate your intention to come so I can book seats for lunch.

For those who did not manage last year and as a reminder the route can be found here;

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=108565549869766850085.00044a6cf9a576af0b2b1&ll=53.934216,-2.538958&spn=7.126696,6.707669&source=embed

It's the one that looks like the outline of Australia (a bit) 8)

This year we shall start in New South Wales, head up to Queensland over to the Northern Territory, go round the coast of western Australia then back via South Australia and Victoria to Inverurie

This is a reverse direction from last year but still the same great roads 8)

No one is allowed to come to the start point if they don't intend finishing too. That should sort out PART of THE KEMNAY problem. If I am kept wedged in between two cars then that will sort the other KEMNAY problem

As the Kemnay triangle comes at the end of the route it 'should' be less of a problem this time  , there is in fact a detour avoiding the place that shall not be named (nice place that it is though) that takes you from Monymusk to Chapel of Garioch and then to the finish point 8)

Hi Angie and David. You are more than welcome to come along. We have other new people coming too for the first time, Bernard, Paul and Sue, so you won't be alone. This looks like it will be as popular as last years run. Names (not including partners) are

Lorraine (Pram)
Ian (IanH)
Paul ( Poing)
Ricky (Detritus)
Andy (Rugger) ??
Paul
Graham (Doc)
Mike (Mike9jr) ??
Bernard
Angie (Rostra)

Please take a few spare pennies (and even a wee donation of an unwanted item ) as with this turnout it is worth having a raffle.

Rostra, this last part of the message is intended for everyone and not directed at you  Och, you know what I mean :D

I also got choclates but just noticed their use by date as April 08  I'm sure they wont go to waste though

Good show Paul. If you click on the link on Ians post (google maps) then zoom in and move the map to north aberdeenshire then you will see the map. If that fails then let me know.
Do you know where you might want to meet up with us?
