Ok, ok, I'm pants at navigating  .
things are getting worse now though. Part of my drive is getting dug up tomorrow so I either block the car in until Monday when it is fixed again or I leave it out on the street (where the bad guys live) over the weekend. It is looking more like wont make it unless I go with someone and I will probably have to do some remedial work to the drive before Monday anyway. I am working 7-7 tomorrow so no time to do it then.
Any suggestions?

Ok chaps, how do we all feel about cancelling this event due to the fair chance of bad weather tomorrow?
We can have another bash next Sunday.
As long as there are 6 or more cars 100% on for this we will go ahead.
Over to you guys now.

From what I read weather is ok but not good exactly, not really ideal for a picnic.

Met Office:

Sunday:
Clear, bright or sunny spells away from the coastal strip where it will remain rather cloudy with showers. Light or moderate winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

We are happy to wait for a top down day.
Are we nearly there yet?

I think everyone who noted interest in coming has been informed so I hope no one goes to Huntly to find they are 'billy no mates'.

Spoke to Duncan (the planner) and we have decided that should the forecast be favourable for next Sunday then we try again. Failing that later in the year is more likely.

Have a nice weekend then whatever you are up to

Hiya,

We were the Billy No Mates.

Drove up from Laurencekirk, waited around, had a cheap breakfast and departed to make a day of it around the area.

Archaeolink was nearby. The place where they make the bronze axe heads was toastie !. Lovely lunch in the Roundhouse restaurant.

Not much opportunity for top down, but fab driving around the twisty roads of the area. Coffee and cake in Banchory and back home via the cairn 'o Mount.

A good day out in a fab car.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah, so you're jockmazza - obvious now I know!

Sorry we didn't get word of the cancellation to you in time, John, but as you know I was in Edinburgh over the weekend.

Sounds as though you managed to make a good day of it though ...
Cheers

Bloody hell. I was up in Orkney over the weekend, Sunday was brilliant, drove all around Orkney with my grand-daughter as passenger, had the roof down Saturday and Sunday, came over on the late ferry Sunday and drove home in lovely sunshine.

Right folks, by consensus (Duncan and I decided) the run is now postponed until later in the year. The forecast is still not looking too good for Sunday  .
Sorry if this upsets folks but what with a picnic and all it seems the best option.
Don't worry though, it will happen, just not this Sunday:lol:
