Undaunted Jaunt

Postby Detritus » Sun Apr 01, 2007 11:03 pm

Undeterred by the total lack of interest in todays impromptu jaunt, I thought I'd try again to tempt you would-be mgf drivers out on a topless run.

The plan is to head here

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... x=7&in.y=8

for a barbeque. You know those little disposable ones.

Best date appears to be Sunday 22nd April as there is nothing planned up here for that date.
There is the karting day being arranged by Central but for those of you who don't fancy that I thought this would be a neat alternative.

Glen Affric is an incredibly beautiful place and those of you who have never been are in for a treat.

I'll be away for the next 2 weeks so just leave a note of your interest here and I'll see the extensive list when I return. Can you also leave your preferrences as to barbie or picnic or mixture of both ( No cracks about the dolls please) and whether or not you want to take your own or would rather I get the lot and we split the cost.

... or as a less extreme solution, come on down to Dundee for our Angus run on the 15th. Weather's looking good and it's shaping up to be a cracker!

It's an 11am start (or 10.30 if you want a bacon buttie) so you've plenty of time to get here. I do a Keith - Dundee run through the hills regularly so you'll just eat up those glorious miles.

Come on, you know you want to!
Cheers

I would have loved to come with you Colin, if nothing else for the buttie and coffee  but some of us have a crust to earn . Sounds like a good plan though to have some of the northern clan meet up with their extended family down south. I hope you all have a grand day out 8)

I'd love to go on every run but other things keep getting in the way, often money related

Julie is keen on the bbq idea Rick but we can't give any promises for that weekend yet. We have not bought the little disposable bq yet but we have bought a cheap set of bbq tools  We have a mental month in May and need to save some pennies for a few things but I should be able to let you know fairly soon.

No buying an MG, we know where you live

I'll listen out over the bay, if it's working I'll hear the cheer and then the exhaust roar and tyre squeal

I know what you mean Malcolm. Mine has been off for 2 weeks now, having broken down only 4 days after passing it's MOT and that was after being off the road when the tax expired at the end of November!  Good news though is that it should be fixed on Sunday :D :D :D
