Sorry I expect to be late.

Taking my daughter to see St Andrews university on 21st now. Expect to be home about 7.30pm so can't be with you 'til about 9pm.

Will that be too late?

Yeah.
The weather looks like becoming wintry.
SO........while I AM free, if its snowing and blowing a gail, I think I might be washing my hair??

Although, could turn up in the Corolla !!
Will see how things go.

Shame about the weather throwing a spanner in the works.
We can cancel now and make it another day in the month or just wait and see who turns up.
I'm not going to Glasgow now either so we could have made it on the 20th afterall but only found out the other day.
What is the general consensus then?

Would obviously be easier for me, now I have to go to St Andrews and back on the 21st, to come on a different day. However I am still happy to come later on the 21st if that's the consensus. :)

Is the meet still on or what?

Oldmeldrum is a long way for me, in this weather especially.

I don't want to drive all the way there to find out I'm the only one attending. :?

Well, I've got boat loads of marking this week so another date would suit me. Depends how much I am expected to get done but by an amazing piece of planning, 3 exams will be sat in the space of as many days (starting tomorrow) so I expect to be very busy with it. :(

I think the forecast for tomorrow is improving though. Whatever suits most people I guess.

@Detritus is there a particular reason your daughter is considering St. Andrews? I have a few friends who went there and their experience was mixed. A great university with top-notch education but the insular nature of the town, with no big-city amenaties convenient became an issue as the years rolled on, as did the very clear "them and us" situation between the "yahs" and regular folk. Basically, their impression was that St. Andrews was almost like England's 3rd University (after OxBridge) and there were a lot of social climbing "see and be seen" people there who looked down on more "normal" people. If you want to find out more about that aspect, try finding out about the "Kate Kennedy Club" where only the brightest and best get to join and pre-membership interviews include questions like "what does daddy do" (I kid you not).

Hi all
unless there is a drastic change in the weather I will be at the pub meet. Please dont worry if you can't come because of distance or weather where you are, I'll post an email to everyone anyway.
We can easily have another meet in April if that is what most folk want.

Didn't think I would make it tonight.
Been in Aberdeen today and didn't fancy the journey all the way back again after tea, particularly when it was raining here.
Hope all went well.
See you gals and guys soon.

Was a good meet, nice to meet some new converts to the MX5 clan, Mike turned up in his very tasty Titanium Grey Mk 2.5. I'm sure Lorraine will put more details of runs and things online later.

Will do indeed Ian but Chris, Catrina, Clare and and I were having a yap outside for a while so it was a bit late to sort things out properly when I got home.
Hope you get an email to everyone in the next day or two.
And thanks indeed to the Mr & Mrs D and Graham for coming along. I'm sure pub meets will be more interesting when the weather improves and we can have a look see at each others cars
