DD/PH postcoders - September Pub Night

Postby Colin » Sun Aug 20, 2006 2:55 pm

Hi folks

Members whose postcodes start with PH or DD are in the North Scotland (South) subarea.

I'm planning to hold our first Pub Night on Tuesday, 12th September at 8pm. It's purely a chance to meet other members rather than to organise events, but who knows what might come up in conversation!

With 13 of our 23 subarea members being based in and around Dundee and several others in and around Perth, it makes sense to have our first night in Dundee near the road to Perth, then try a different venue next time. Apologies to those of you who this doesn't suit, but I'm sure you'll understand. :)

I'll be delighted to hear suggestions for venues. Watch this space for further details.
Cheers

Hi folks

If anyone's out there thinking to themselves "what I really need in my life is a quiet drink on Tuesday night (12th Sept) at the Birkhill Inn beside Camperdown Park in Dundee (meeting in the rear car park at 8pm) in the company of some pleasant and sociable drivers of the world's best selling sports car" ...

... then by an extraordinary coincidence I might have the perfect occasion for you. If you'd like to make a late decision to join us, we'd be delighted to see you there.

The first drink is on me ... provided we don't have 50 members, their spouses and close friends turning up at the last minute!
Cheers

Hi Colin,
sounds like a fine night out. Can you maybe chip in something about the BBQ on the 17th too. We were thinking of meeting up with you in Banchory. I thought maybe leaving Aberdeen at around 11 then see you all in Banchory and head out together from their. Folk not wanting to come with us can just meet up in Alford in the park itself.

see what you and your troops think of that.

Hi Lorraine

A meet up in Banchory on the way to Alford sounds braw.

We're leaving Dundee at about 11am, stopping at Fettercairn at about 11.40am to pick up a car and should be at the central car park in Banchory at about 12.10pm ... tractors, caravans, cycle rallies, etc permitting.
Cheers

ok then. How about meet in Banchory as you plan and leave there about 12.30 or as soon as it seems everyone has turned up that say they will?

Keeping all my bits crossed for fine weather too :?
