DD/PH postcoders - September run and BBQ

Postby Colin » Thu Aug 17, 2006 9:40 pm

Hi folks

Members whose postcodes start with PH or DD are in the North Scotland (South) subarea.

Lorraine (The Pram) is organising a BBQ for the North Scotland (East) crew, so we're going to try to make it a joint event. The probable date is Sunday 17th September and I'd like to include it as part of a NSS run.

I suggest we leave in convoy from the Toyota Garage at the start of the Dundee to Forfar dual carriageway at 11am, head up the Cairn O'Mount, through Banchory and then to Alford (Haughton Country Park). However, if Dundee's not handy, why not meet us there (we can maybe arrange another convoy)?! The idea is that we all bring disposable BBQ's and our own food.

Details of the park can be found at http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/countryparks/locations/alford.asp

Any takers? Watch this forum for further details.
Cheers

I have two remote control mini's for a spot of racing and I am sure I could borrow the wee boys football from next door. I also know a nifty wee trick of lifting someone off a chair with 4 fingers
I am also a dab hand at snap :!: :!:

Hi folks
Who can provide the entertainment

If the weather's bad (as it almost inevitably will be), we can crowd into a caravan and I can make a rendition of Tam O'Shanter stretch out to an hour and a half.

Are we too early for conkers? :P

AB vs DD at pooh sticks?

Or alternatively act-out the old black and white western movies by tying someone to the minature train tracks that run through the park to be saved by the Lone Ranger (IV postcode area co-ord  ) and Tonto... Arriving, of course, by MX5 :?:
Long term MX5-less I miss my 5...

Yep, I'm up for that. I'd anticipate the Dundee posse would hit the central Banchory car park at just after 12 noon ... or 3.30pm if we get stuck behind a caravan on the Cairn O'Mount. :x

I'll liaise with Lorraine abouit it.

Alford run

Postby jockmazza » Sat Aug 26, 2006 9:24 pm

Hi to the man from Findochty - Sandy Baird at my work knows you !

I will probably not make the run Colin - just seems to be too much on .. like cleaning my recently purchased little beauty and working out where to start with any mods.

Good news, My son will be pimping my ride with me.... I wouldn't let that muppet Westwood get near my wee stoater of a car !
