?????
I am getting used to being ignored....good job I have not got any complexes about it :-)

The run which obviously is NOT happening is now declared OFF as I have decided to do a gallop up to John O'Groats to play on that A99 again.

I shall go and run the car up and down it a few times early tomorrow morning while Scotland sleeps, and see what I can trim my times down to :-)

The run sounds great, unfortunately I don't pick my acquisition up until Tuesday from Yorkshire... and that's if the chap doesn't sell it to someone else by then!

Sorry Loftladderman but it's got a hardtop!! I know you have said in the past you hate them but I'm not sure whether or not I like it until I try it, time will tell. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me in the near future.

That's me booked my train ticket for the one way trip (hopefully!) to pick the car up.

Why the hell does a 45-year-old guy who already has two cars...a VW Sharan VR6 and a 1992 VW Polo want an MX5?

...because he can, perhaps! Jesus I can't wait till Tuesday, it feels like Christmas when I was a nipper.

Great day

Postby loftladderman » Mon Sep 13, 2004 5:03 am

Jim and his young lady arrived around noon.
After fags and coffee we went out to the cars.
Jim was trying to convince me he had dented his car...... I couldnt see it at all...LOL
He fitted a replacement center consol and swapped his for one of my spares.
He fitted a chrome filler cap which I had in stock too...looked GREAT on his car.

Later in the afternoon Mark (Stonehaven) turned up in his yellow peril California.
Looked neat although I HATE YELLOW ! LOL
We talked even more cars and waved goodbye to Jim and his lady.

BY 7pm I was down the pit changing my engine oil and fliter in the greddy so I had a great day thanks lads and lassie :-)

Yeah, sounds good Mack.

Shona came up with another idea  and then I ended up working on the new family runaround. Should have popped down later though, silly me.
See you all around soon.
