We have a problem.

We have no one to carry the baton (this will have travelled all the way from Lands End with various MX5'ers) between Loch Lomond and John O'Groats.

Jim (Hardtrack) will be carrying it from weston Park to Loch Lomond on the Sunday evening.

This last bit, "WILL" be happening on Monday the 7th of the charity run.
ANY ONE UP FOR THIS ??????????

You pay your own fuel etc, buy your own food, run with us, and then apart from getting to Loch Lomond have to get home again after John O'Groats and the end of the run !

It would also be nice if you could bring a quid or two in sponsorship money to chuck into the kitty :-)

DONT ASK why Al or myself do not carry it as it is a long explanation ! LOL

Anyone with the time and inclination to raise some money for very worthy charities ?

Also to help raise the profile of the cars we love ?

GET IN TOUCH WITH ME PLEASE.

No it isn't. Some other members(who are aware of the family situation we are in at present) emailed me and asked me to check the forum. Our time and resources are necessarily channelled in other directions right now and will be for some considerable time. We hope to make the Callander weekend so will be passing on our donation there.
When someone gives you a pat on the back make damned sure they did not have a knife in their hand.

Would it be wrong to suggest that someone else might pick up organising events for the N Scotland group until Bill and Linda are able to get back in to the swing of things?

If someone were wanting to do this then the mechanism for adding event details to this site is very easy and I'll offer full support in that respect. Organising runs/routes/meeting times would be up to you.

Don't despair guys.
It's difficult up here just to get together with the pressures from family, job and health. We don't have dozens of members within a few miles so club members have to grab the crumbs of association whenever we can. Don't know who is the nearest club member to me anyway.
Will be back in circulation soon and hope to meet up then.
